Standardized Exam Takers Get an Edge with Technology

DOME Exam Prep™, a leading provider of test preparation material and technology, has today announced the launch of its newest learning tool, DOME Simulated Exams™, to provide another tool in the arsenal of learning methods and exam preparation.

The simulated examination technology dynamically generates a test using an algorithm that calculates several factors such as topics, weighted questions, and bank proportions, and delivers the exam under timed conditions. "It's the closest thing to Test Day" said Michael Campbell, one of the firm's partners. "Practicing under simulated conditions provides the rigor of the actual exam, while also allowing students to acquaint themselves with the pace and format."Practicing under simulated conditions provides the rigor of the actual exam, while also allowing students to acquaint themselves with the pace and format.

Parents and students alike are looking for ways to increase scores in today's competitive academic landscape. DOME Exam Prep understands this desire and has focused its attention on incorporating recent breakthroughs in cognitive psychology into their technology offerings. New tools developed are focused on memory retention by reducing the pattern and rate at which one forgets. This variety allows students to use the learning method that best suits their memory retention, study habits, and time constraints. While reading, flash card drills, and casual quizzing of topics can work for some, they're not always the right tool for others. Constant pressure under a simulated exam environment can help all students as it can reduce test anxiety and improve memory.

DOME Exam Prep has beta launched the Simulated Exam for two of its Standardized Test Platforms, Advanced Placement and CLEP.
